Escape into Nature at its best, just outside of Cape Town, South Africa!
On the Hangklip-Kleinmond coast, only an hour's drive from Cape Town, lies a range of massive mountains that hug the spectacular, wave-swept coastline of False Bay. All this is punctuated with golden-beaches ranging from tiny to never-ending. This area of the Cape south coast is of such beauty and botanical significance that, in 1998, it became the first UNESCO-declared Biosphere Reserve in southern Africa. Nestling in this unique area lie the towns of Rooi Els, Pringle Bay, Betty’s Bay and Kleinmond. With visiting and inhabiting this Biosphere area come responsibilities and the principles of Sustained Development are followed, while still offering a host of adventures as well as relaxing holidays. For the outdoor enthusiast, this coastline is an absolute paradise for angling, snorkeling, scuba diving, crayfishing, river-rafting, swimming, shell collecting, sand and surf sports as well as a host of mountain orientated activities.
The Kleinmond Nature Conservation Society's display in our office at 14 Harbour Road attracts a lot of attention, especially the "Fynbos exhibition" **. The enthusiastic Mimi and Leon, from the local hiking club, replace fresh flower species on a weekly basis, and the regular visitor cannot wait to see what is in bloom for that week. A big thank you to them, as this really adds to the ambience of the office.
