African Travel Stories...

The heart of the Cederberg, a place of high energy...

... There is something about the Cederberg mountains. As soon as we drive up Piekenierskloof I feel it. I have visited this area many times and each time we follow the N7 meandering from Citrusdal to Clanwilliam, I start sitting upright, like a magnet being pulled towards the mountains on my right. My heart starts beating faster and I bet my pupils are dilating too. It appears that I am not the only one being intensily energised by this special place...

Kids of Nature has a brand new website. You will find loads of new information, lots of beautiful photography and our latest story on the Cederberg. Have a look and tell us what you think of it.

Also, from 14 May you will be able to follow us on our new journey. We will be exploring some of the most beautiful natural places in Africa and meet some of the last indigenous people who still live in harmony with nature, to learn from them and share these experiences with you. Through our on-line diary - straight from the bush thanks to our Evosat satellite connection - you can have a look behind the scenes and communicate directly with us.
